Taste Of India Express in Sherwood Park

Frustrating experience today. 1. Over charged me 2. Shorted me 2 nan that I Pd $2 each for3. Their website to order online with was not working 4. Food in prep area did not look properly cared for according to hygiene. I really love Indian food but this was very disappointing!!

Best east Indian food in Sherwood-park. Very delicious food and also very good customer service. I was having buffet and host served me with pakoras. It was a very good experience.

The food and service here is the best! Staff is so friendly and often offer chai or small bites to enjoy while waiting for a takeout order. Haven’t tried a dish I didn’t like. And the portions are really generous!

The most remarkable little place! Such nice staff super clean incredible food! Special shout-out for the best fish pakoras ever! (and I've had it all over the world) All fantastic and super well priced really well priced you got to go! I will be back.

Absolutely wonderful food, delightful environment and atmosphere. The tandori chicken was the best I've ever had. Staff was very nice. Definitely recommend.

This place is amazing! I got the dinner buffet and the food was amazing. Francis was very friendly and helpful making a special appetizer dish and an incredible sauce that I put on everything. He served chai tea to me and offered some to everyone that came by and was very helpful with any questions people had! On top of that, the price was great; much less than what I’m used to at home (I’m here for the weekend for a Racquetball Tournament), and it’s even less on weekends so I might be back again tomorrow or Saturday. All and all, a great experience that I would highly recommend to everyone!

My companion and I enjoyed a very tasty buffet. The 10 dishes to choose from were excellent. Small batch cooking kept the dishes flavorful. The personal and attentive service from Francis was outstanding as he helped my companion with his first experience to Indian foods. I shall definitely be back.

We ordered our food online but when we turned up, the order hadn't been sent as there was a problem with the website. The staff were apologetic and were fantastic with us. Took our order, gave us some delicious snacks while we waited and were very courteous and polite. When we got our food it smelt lovely. When we got home the food tasted fantastic. it didn't make you feel bloated like some Indian food we have had from "other" curry places. Chicken sag and chicken vindaloo is something i would highly recommend. Go visit the Taste of India express, you wont be disappointed.

Had not been to the Taste of India Express for some time, so the newly renovated premises were a nice surprise. Food was extremely good as usual, and our friends, who know their Indian food, enjoyed their first experience here. The newly introduced buffet was very reasonably priced. and the server was very attentive, offering fresh naans as soon as he could see that our basket was running low. The four of us ate our fills, and had a great visit. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Indian food (or would like to learn to love it :-)

Went to the express store on Grenada road in Sherwood Park for lunch. Great prices and food! Better service than in a big restaurant! Courteous staff who created a few tasty treats for us to try!! Go check it out!

Well as much as I love taste of India I have to question why the cilantro they just chopped has yellow and rotten leaves in it. It makes me wonder what else they use is not being properly cleaned/prepared. The person that pick up the food watched as they just took the bunch and started chopping away. With out cleaning so I don’t think I will be eating there again for a very long time as I’m thinking there might be other ingredients not being cleaned.Some may ask themselves if I ate my dinner and the answer is a big fat No! My human garburator husband did. See pic of what I picked out before I said screw it.

Excellent food, we tried 7 different dishes and each one was delicious with unique flavors. We enjoyed the newly renovated space and the service was exceptional and the staff very very friendly. Prices are reasonable.

First time eating here. Was very impressed with the host, he brought me a few different plates with tasty new food to try. I bought the family for 4 which was very generously portioned. If you are looking for a new taste experience or if you like vegetarian food ( the meat dishes we chose where great as well) then this is the place to go to.Great service great food great price.

Francis and his team at Taste of Indian Express delivered an excellent lunch buffet experience. He truly sent above and beyond to deliver excellent service. He noticed that I chose only the vegetarian options from the buffet so he made me two vegetarian appetizers free of charge to go with my meal. We will definitely return.

Went there for $10.99 Lunch Buffet. Saw place as I drove by. Was like checking my phone to see if it was 2020. Where in the hell can you get good buffet for $10.99. I went in, service blew my doors off, there was a full buffet of things I can't pronounce, and the best part was the Food was Legit. Full Five Stars. Best Indian Cuisine I have had in a number of years. Naan Bread was off the charts. Don't believe me, go try the place. It is my new GoTo for work lunch when I am in the area.

Excellent choice for East Indian buffet! There isn't anything bad to say about this place, I've had their take out and now I've had their buffet. It's nice having a legitimate quality East Indian restaurant in the park! I'll definitely return again. I also noticed the owner offering complimentary chai tea to folks waiting for their takeout order or deciding what to order. Very nice gesture!

I popped in for lunch today and tried the buffet. Francis Gomes was very pleased to offer me fresh fish pakora with a delicious sauce and a dish I was unfamiliar with but, oh my goodness, my tongue is still happy! It turned out to be my favourite dish of them all. Francis went out of his way to be friendly, helpful and to provide excellent customer service. Will definitely be back.

The food is delicious, the owners are really nice and the price is unbeatable. You really must try this place. I'm so happy it's close by to me.

Tried this place for the first time recently and was very impressed. Francis offered me a complimentary chai while I was paying for my pickup order. The staff was very friendly. Prices are the best I've seen anywhere, and they even offer a large platter that can be filled from the buffet if you don't want to sit down. The only negative was that the veggie samosas had a few too many whole coriander seeds and cardamom pods for my liking. I will definitely be back soon...

Excellent food and speedy service. Nothing beats their fresh baked naan bread! Amazing value for the price. If you're in a rush I recommend calling in your order and picking it up, makes the process very efficient. Otherwise, you can never go wrong with the buffet. Delicious food, I will keep coming back.

Francis is wonderful and spoiled us. He went above and beyond by surprising us with different treats and made us a delicious cup of chai tea. The food was delicious and well priced. We order on skip the dishes regularly, but it tastes even better in person. This place is a little gem in Sherwood Park. We will be back! No complaints here.

A 3 to 3.5...ordered through skip the dishes. The dal makhani was tasty and the saag chicken was ok. Not a lot of meat in the saag chicken..perhaps only 5 pieces. Also got the yogurt which was refreshing with the cucumber. Nothing stood out too much on my end. It seemed a little salty. The naan, once it is cold ..it gets hard to eat. Its an ok place with decent size. Maybe itll be different if you go in to eat.

First time I ordered from Taste of India, have to say I'm just starting to really enjoy Indian cuisine, so thought I'd give here a try. Ordered for two, with side of 2 extra samosas, 1 order of naan buttered and coconut rice as when ordering I must have skipped part that said in the meal for two rice was included. When it arrived I was shocked at the quantity for the price! What a great portion size that I ended up having enough to have lunch for work and supper for the next night. This was ordered for one person with the intention of having leftovers.Great taste definitely will order again!

I like this restaurant! They have delicious food, their menu is decent, The chef in that spot is very experienced, I love very much eating all their food. The food is consistently of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is agreeable. I frequently visit this place and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and prices!! We love this place so much, we won’t go anywhere else. The balance of flavours is fantastic, ranges in spice...something for everyone. For those of us who get bloated or stomach ache from Indian food...never at this place. Everything cooked from scratch. Their new buffet is extremely affordable $10.99 dine-in lunch and $13.99 dine-in dinner. Worth every penny and more. ❤️❤️❤️

I've come here after my karate class in Sherwood Park several times with my family. With the Sept 2019 renovations, the restaurant's atmosphere is much improved. Clear seating area with interesting decor and lots of natural light to illuminate a post-workout meal. The buffet is a great value, with flavours on par with the more expensive big stores in town. The naan is amazingly fluffy, the fish pakora (with hand mixed sauce right at our table from the owner!) is possibly the most flavourful I've tasted. And I eat a lot of Indian food.The renovation has spruced up the place, but don't let the new look fool you: it's always been this good. The ownership has always been earnest and friendly.The washroom is not as nice as the main dining area, but honestly? Come here to eat, enjoy, relax. This is a nice little hole-in-the wall place.

Service was Awesome. Hands Down the Best in City! Made us Indian Style Nachos, brought mild sauces to our table the server made us himself to compliment our foods and he made our spicy food more mild by adding a little yogurt sauce! Amazing price just $13.99 for all you can eat. Delicious food and Very Clean place. Authentic Indian TV Music videos playing on the tv makes it an even better time to enjoy this food! Loved it!

Service is excellent. I couldn't ask for better. The price of the buffet is extremely reasonable. I think it will increase soon, as it is way cheaper than any place I've ever been. The spice is very mild, great for people who cant handle spicy food The staff here are extremely welcoming and pleasant. They reliever on skip the dishes aswell.

Ordered lunch this noon which was special tribute to my dad on fathers day, Front desk Guy was very nice, very friendly and good communication skills, I never been to Indian restaurant before, I Didn’t knew much about Indian cuisine, that boy at front desk made selection of items from the menu which was perfect definitely come back again !Highly recommended for dine in with your family!!

I am so impressed! The new 10.99 lunch buffet (8.99 on weekends) is mind blowing. Hands down the best Indian food around. They also have a dinner buffet.The owner shows a ton of pride in the restaurant and recommended flavour combinations that were truly delicious. This is my new favourite restaurant in Sherwood park. I will highly recommend this as the go to sherwood park lunch spot.

We discovered this place about a month ago and have been twice since. We ate here for New Years Eve supper last night and the host was very gracious and brought some extra dishes to our table for us to sample. I loved the garlic naan bread and everything we tried was very tasty. We will certainly be back! it is a small place but worth checking out!

It's always welcome to see an open kitchen at restaurants. There is a sense that there is nothing to hide in the way that the food is prepared. The food was certainly good and filling. I've only docked a star because I found the butter chicken a little bland and the naan a little less to my liking but that may differ for others. The Chicken Kora is great amoung their other dishes. All in all it is a nice small restaurant that I will look to frequent again and I hope that if you're reading this you might consider paying them a visit as well.
